WELCOME TO WORSHIP – Rev. Aho

CALL TO WORSHIP – Brooklynn and Chase Watkins
(to be shared between two people in your home or read in unison)
Call to the Lord, who hears our prayers.
Sing to the Lord, who delight in our songs.
Wait for the Lord, the source of our hope.
Worship the Lord, who is worthy of our praise.

HYMNS OF PRAISE – “O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing” AZMON
O, for a thousand tongues to sing, my great Redeemer’s praise,
The glories of my God and King, the triumph of His grace!
My gracious Master and my God, assist me to proclaim,
To spread throughout the earth abroad, the triumphs of Thy name.
Jesus, the name that calms my fears, that bids my sorrows cease;
‘Tis music in the sinner’s ears; ‘Tis life and health and peace.
He breaks the power of canceled sin, He sets the pris’ner free;
His blood can make the foulest clean, His blood availed for me.

O, How I Love Jesus”
There is a name I love to hear, I love to sing its worth;
It sounds as music in my ear, the sweetest name on earth.
Oh, how I love Jesus, O, how I love Jesus,
O, how I love Jesus, because He first loved me.

CHILDREN’S TIME – “Celebrating Our Teachers”
(video presentation)
When everything abruptly came to an end back in March, all children’s activities
stopped at church ~ Sunday School, Missions, Choirs, and WEE School.
Though our year did not end as we had planned with special services and activities, we want to take a few minutes during this time to say thank you to all those who teach and lead our children at Oxford Baptist.

OLD TESTAMENT READING – Mr. Tim Lumpkins
Psalm 116:1-2, 12-19

PASTORAL PRAYER – Rev. Aho
Friends in Christ,
God invites us to hold the needs of our sisters and brothers
as dear to us as our own needs.
Loving our neighbors as ourselves,
we offer our thanksgivings and our petitions
on behalf of the church and the world.

Prayers of the People, concluding with:

Hear our prayers, God of power,
and through the ministry of your Son
free us from the grip of the tomb,
that we may desire you as the fullness of life
and proclaim your saving deeds to all the world. Amen.

MESSAGE – “Seeing Like Jesus”
OUR OFFERING
Taking an offering is an act of worship and a part of our service each week. It is important to remember that our offering not only supports the ministry of the church but is an expression of our thankfulness for all God has given us. We give today because God first gave to us.
BENEDICTION
God of love, pour out your Holy Spirit on us that we might
love as Jesus loved and serve as Jesus served.
Lead us to encourage hope and healing in this world. Amen.
