“Then God said,’Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness.’
God saw everything that God made, and, indeed, it was very good.”

CALL TO WORSHIP ~ Lilli and Will Brooks
For the power and majesty of God’s creative splendor,
let us give thanks!
Before Jesus’ humility, and the power of Christ’s commands,
let us stand in wonder.
For the mystery of relationships—God’s with us, and our’s with one another
Let us seek God’s holy wisdom.
Come, let us worship the Triune God.
HYMN OF PRAISE ~ “Come, Thou Almighty King” LYONS
Come, Thou Almighty King, help us Thy name to sing. Help us to praise,
Father, all glorious, o‟er all victorious.
Come, and reign over us, Ancient of Days.
Come, Thou Incarnate Word, gird on Thy mighty sword, our prayer attend.
Come, and Thy people bless, and give Thy word success;
Spirit of holiness, on us descend.
Come, Holy Comforter, Thy sacred witness bear in this glad hour!
Thou, who almighty art, now rule in every heart
And ne‟er from us depart, Spirit of pow‟r.
To Thee, great One in Three, the highest praises be, hence evermore.
Thy sovereign majesty may we in glory see,
And to eternity love and adore

PASTORAL PRAYER ~ Rev. Aho
Holy God, we pray today for our world, our country, our community, and ourselves. We are aware of so many struggles and difficulties around us that
sometimes we feel hopeless and unable to help. Please forgive us for the times when we fall short of being instruments of your love and peace.
As we seek to embody your love and peace, we give thanks that in the life of Jesus, you showed us how to live and move and have our being.
Therefore, we pray that:
Just as you love, you will help us to love.
Just as you forgive, enable us to forgive.
Just as you listen, open us to listening.
Just as you protect those who need it, help to be protectors.
Just as you sought the lost sheep, may we seek all who are in need.
And just as you have invited us to life, may we embody your love and peace so others might be invited to life through us.
This we ask in the name of Jesus, our Lord, Amen.
MUSIC MEDITATION ~ “I Choose Love” M. Miller
2019 Youth Choir
In the midst of pain, I choose love.
In the midst of pain, sorrow falling down like rain,
I await the sun again, I choose love.
In the midst of war, hate and anger keeping score,
I will seek the good once more, I choose peace.
When my world falls down, explanations can’t be found
I will climb to holy ground, I will rise.
I choose love!

OUR OFFERINGS
Taking an offering is an act of worship and a part of our service each week. It is important to remember that our offering not only supports the ministry
of the church but is an expression of our thankfulness for all God has given us. We give today because God first gave to us.
BENEDICTION
We go forth in the fullness of holy mystery.
May the love of God enfold us.
May the grace of Jesus Christ flow through us.
And may the communion of the Holy Spirit complete us. Amen.

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him all creatures here below.
Praise Him above, ye heavenly hosts;
